Follower pets now have Avatar Licensing:

You now have the option to purchase an Avatar license for the base follower pets! Once purchased, you will be able to apply these pets to avatars that you are selling yourself! Please note, that you must let your customers know that they will need to purchase the pet as a stand alone product from me, if they would like to use the pet on other Avatars.

The Avatar license does not allow you to sell edited versions of the follower pets as a stand alone product, it only allows you to apply the pets to avatars you are selling, you are allowed to edit the pets that you apply to your avatars, but your customers must purchase the pet if they would like to use the pet on their own avatars.
